Zion Health Wellness Products | Review

Zion-Health

I'm always on the lookout for new cruelty-free brands to try out, so I was super excited to be introduced to Zion Health* and a few of their hair and body products. Now, what makes this brand really stand out is that they pride themselves in creating products made out of clay! I've been a long-time fan of this ingredient and even shared a DIY face mask recipe on the blog a few years ago now. Clay has many detoxifying properties and has been used in wellness treatments for centuries. Based out of San Francisco, Zion Health specializes in making products that are natural and made in the USA, with most of their products being vegan! I received a few products to try out, which I've been testing out and I'm excited to share my thoughts with you.

Zion-Health-Green-Apple-Deep-Cleansing-Scalp-Hair-Scrub

The Zion Health Green Apple Deep Cleansing Scalp & Hair Scrub has quickly made it to the top of my list when it comes to detoxifying scrubs. You know that feeling when you just feel like there is gunk and product buildup and shampoo is simply no longer cutting it? Well, this is what you need in your arsenal to bring life back to your weighed-down hair! Firstly, it smells like yummy green apple and the incredible scent lingers after rinsing which is so nice, like beyond 24 hours! This vegan scrub I apply as the last step in my hair washing routine, making sure to give my scalp a thorough massage and working the product through my ends and letting it sit for a bit to let the product work its magic before rinsing. It's made with a base of sodium chloride salt and sea salt, and also contains ingredients such as biotin, argan oil, aloe leaf gel, mangosteen powder and of course ionic clay minerals.

Zion-Health-Scalp-Nutrition-Serum

With my hair freshly washed and still damp, I follow up with the Zion Health Scalp Nutrition Serum, which is an intense scalp revitalizer. This vegan serum will help bring back moisture and revive your scalp thanks to its nourishing oil blend: olive, argan, apricot, hemp seed, jojoba, castor, rosehip seed, thyme, rosemary, oregano, carrot seed, peppermint as well as ionic clay minerals. Despite being so rich, this blend feels very lightweight and non-greasy - so you don't have to rinse after application. Simply apply 3-5 drops to your scalp and give it a good massage and all you then have to do is sit back and relax while this wonder of a product penetrates your hair roots. This treatment is both remedial and preventative and can be used both morning and evening. I find it really helps treat dandruff, hair dullness and weak strands. Again, it smells so nice and after a few weeks of use I find my hair feeling stronger and shinier!

Zion-Health-Clay-Dry-BOLD-Lavender-Deodorant

I've tried many natural deodorants over the years, and the latest one to join the bunch is the Zion Health Clay Dry BOLD Lavender Deodorant. This aluminum-free, moisture-absorbing deodorant (available in travel size) is made with a base of arrowroot powder, coconut oil, shea butter, sodium bicarbonate and tapioca starch. The ionic clay minerals also help your skin recover from shaving-caused irritation. Not only does it smell amazing, but it lasts well throughout the day too. With the intense heat we've had over the last couple of weeks here in Montreal, I did find the need to reapply it once throughout the day as a refresh. Every time I apply this lavender-scented body product, I get transported back to the Bleu Lavande lavender field I visited in Magog a couple of weeks ago - such a therapeutic and aromatic experience and a place I would highly recommend visiting if you are ever in the Eastern Townships of Quebec!

Adama-Minerals-Elderberry-Hydrating-Lip-Balm

I've been a fan of elderberry tea and jam for many years, but surprisingly I don't think I've ever come across this berry extract in my skincare! Enter the Adama Minerals Elderberry Hydrating Lip Balm. Not only does it smell incredible but it is also super soothing and is great to prevent sores and treat chapped lips. It is certified organic and made with sunflower seed oil, beeswax, olive oil, and hemp seed oil, just to name a few ingredients. I've been using it a ton now and I already know it will be saving my lips big time come the colder months that are quickly approaching.

If you are looking for natural alternatives to your current body products or want to add to your existing natural beauty stash, I would highly recommend checking out Zion Health! You can use code "NATALIE10" to get 10% off on any of the above products.

  1. When I was younger (around 20 years of age), I dont really care of much of beauty products. But now turning to 40s, These wellness products that you share makes a lot of sense. I starts to have more dandruff for instance. That's why I decide to comment here as a way to encourage you to keep posting more of these products. Keep it up,Natalie.
