Lise Watier Diamond Dreams | Holiday Makeup Look

The most wonderful time of the year is here! I've already gone down the rabbit hole of having Christmas decorations up and have been watching (too) many Hallmark holiday movies (and I'm not ashamed to admit it)! It's also been an insanely long time since I shared a holiday-inspired makeup look (take a trip down memory lane here) so I figure it was about time I got to it! Once my eyes were treated to the Lise Watier Diamond Dreams Collection Set* I knew I had to share it because it is absolutely gorgeous, from the holographic packaging down to the colours and the quality and performance of the makeup itself. For those unfamiliar with the brand, Lise Watier is part of Canada's largest cosmetics brand based here in Montreal and it has been around since 1972. The entire line is cruelty-free and products are made in Italy and available at pharmacies and department stores across Canada as well as online.

The Lise Watier Diamond Dreams Holiday Gift Set ($95 CAD) features five charming products that will sweep you off your feet! 

The 9-Colour Eyeshadow Palette comes in a beautiful 3D-raised holographic case with a mirror included. It includes gold, silver, brown, pink, burgundy, blue and charcoal tones. The light brown and light pink are matte, while the rest are shimmery shades, with the exception of the middle shade that I used as an all-over eyelid shade for this look, which has chunks of glitter. Despite all the shimmer and glitter, I have not experienced any fallout which is always a good attribute for eyeshadow. The shades also apply beautifully and are easy to pack on with a flat brush or fade out with a blending brush. They are also long-lasting and easy to wipe away with a makeup remover.

The Diamond Dreams Blush and Highlighter Palette comes in the same packaging as the eyeshadow palette and features 4 generously-sized shades: 2 highlighters and 2 blushes, in satin and matte finishes. The top left shade is a satin cream, top right is a satin champagne, bottom left a satin light pink and bottom right is a matte rose shade. As you can see in the video, I like layering the bottom two on the high points of my cheeks. The top two shades are perfect to highlight both the face and eyes. They feel very smooth and provide a nice hint of glow and colour without being intense. I absolutely love this palette!

Now for the most beautiful brush to grace my beauty collection: the Diamond Dreams Blush and Highlight Brush. First off, this brush looks and feels so luxurious thanks to its faceted handle in a rough diamond shape. Beyond that, the cruelty-free slanted bristles are incredibly soft. This brush is perfect for not only blush and highlight but also works well as a bronzing or contour brush for added definition. It picks up just the right amount of product and makes packing and blending a breeze. Can't say enough good things about this gem!

Moving onto the lips, the luxury edition Rouge Intense Suprême Lipstick in the shape of a diamond comes in a jewel-decorated tube that is now sitting pretty on my vanity! The shade would really suit any skin tone, a deep burgundy that applies very smoothly thanks to the buttery texture of the formula, which contains labrador tea extract and olive oil for that boost of hydration. You can wear this matte lipstick alone or go in with a liner first for added definition. 

For an added pop on the lips, I went in with the Universal Lip Gloss, which as the names implies can work for anyone and any look as it is transluscent and provides a lustrous finish to elevate your look. Wear it alone or layer it on top of your lipstick as I did for this holiday look, concentrating it on the center of my lips! It has a pleasant sweet vanilla scent, doesn't feel sticky and provides high shine and hydration.
