Kopari Coconut Rose Toner (C$30/US$24, 150 mL or 5 fl. oz.)
Facial mists are my weakness, and after hearing so many amazing things about Kopari and their Coconut Rose Toner in particular, I finally gave in. The scent is definitely intoxicating and out of this world. If you think this combo sounds pretty bomb, well it's even better than you can imagine: the perfect mix between sweet and floral... basically the scent of my dreams. The mist comes out super fine, so it works great as a makeup setting spray on top of being an amazing toner/primer after cleansing. If you deal with sensitive skin like me, this one is super calming as well. A BIG winner in my books and I cannot wait to try more of their skincare products!
Saturday Skin Waterfall Glacier Water Cream (C$48/US$39, 50 mL or 1.69 oz)
I mean with a name like that, how can you not want to give this one a try? Ever since coming across Saturday Skin, I've been drawn to their products like a magnet. Cool (pun intended) name, cute packaging, cruelty-free, vegan and free of the nasties? This girl had to get her hands on the glorious pink stuff to see if it's worthy of the buzz it's been receiving. Let me tell you, the Waterfall Glacier Water Cream does not disappoint! The gel/whipped cream hybrid texture feels beyond amazing on my skin and because it is so light, I love using it during the day applied under makeup. Not only does it feel cooling and refreshing, but it actually contains extracts from up north, as in Alaskan Glacier Water and Iceland Moss. Now if that does not make you want to try it yourself, I am stumped! I've been using this stuff for the last few days, and I'm now a Saturday Skin convert.
Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Treatment Lotion Mist (C$30.85/US$22.50, 150 mL or 5 fl. oz.)
I know what you're thinking: another facial mist? I wasn't lying when I wrote above that I easily cave for this kind of stuff. The Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Treatment Lotion Mist is no exception and I am so glad I pulled the trigger because this facial mist has quickly become a favourite of mine. The citrus scent is beyond revitalizing and uplifting, being formulated with coffee beans, ginseng, pomegranate, spearmint, grapefruit and orange. The citrus scent definitely comes through as a top note which I absolutely love. It is oil-free and non-sticky, comes out in an ultra-fine mist and again can be used to prep or set your makeup without disruption. For an extra-cooling effect, you can even pop it in the fridge - trust me, you won't regret it!
Kaia Naturals The Takesumi Detox Bamboo Charcoal Deodorant (C$22/US$22, 65 g or 2.29 oz)
You may have heard that activated charcoal has amazing detoxing properties... so a charcoal deodorant only makes sense, right? I've tried my fair share of natural deodorants, and I still have yet to find one I cannot live without, and this one sounded very promising. What's really neat is that the Takesumi Detox Bamboo Charcoal Deodorant comes in a handful of scents, and I settled for lime mint - it's pretty mind-blowing if you ask me. Albeit charcoal might sound unappealing in a deodorant due to its staining potential, you need not worry as the product goes on clear and does not stain grey at all. The formula is aluminium and baking soda-free and void of synthetic fragrance. It also contains arrowroot powder, candelilla wax, aloe leaf juice, and of course key lime and spearmint. It does not feel greasy whatsoever and so far I am really impressed with the results as it keeps me feeling fresh throughout the day. It won't stop you from sweating, but it will neutralize odour. Keep in mind there might be a transition period when making the switch to a natural deodorant as your body will be detoxing so it might take a while for it to reach full efficacy.
