I don't know about the weather where you are, but the cold has really started to hit hard here in Montreal! Nights have been dipping below zero degrees Celsius, and as I am writing this the first snowfall of the season is blanketing the night view outside my window - same day these photos were shot. Talk about a quick change in landscape! In true Canadian fashion (pun intended - you'll understand as you keep reading!), I am all about bundling up and always look for outerwear that will stand the test of a cold front and snowfall to keep me warm and dry. So when Noize Original* reached out asking if I would like to try one of their jackets, I thought well, perfect timing!
Vegan Jacket c/o Noize Original (use 'natalie15' for 15% off!) | Extra Stretch Skinny Jean | Synthetic Leather Water-Resistant Knee-High Winter Boot |
In these photos, I am sporting items that are all vegan/synthetic and that are from three of my well-loved Canadian fashion brands (Noize Original (Montreal pride), Maison Simons (Quebec pride), and Yellow Shoes (Quebec pride once again)!
What I love about the Joyce Jacket is that it has a double-lining with an asymmetrical outer zipper closure and a built-in sweater-like collar and rib knit storm cuffs to ensure that no body heat escapes from those areas. The hood can be expanded when releasing the discreetly hidden snap closure located at the center - so, on those chilly, windy or snowy days, I can really block off the elements from hitting my face hard (certainly been there) thanks to this cool trick. And with a comfort zone down to -30 degrees Celsius and a material that is both water resistant and windproof, I know I won't be freezing my butt off, because yes, it actually does get this cold here in Canada!
This jacket also features two side pockets that snap shut and that are lined with fleece to help my hands stay warm. If you've experienced a true Canadian winter though, you know that gloves are still a must!
I love the detailing on the faux-leather sleeves, and of course the Noize Original logo with a cute maple leaf because, you know, Canada's emblem - can't get any more patriotic than that!
The jacket is the perfect length, and if you are a tall person like me, you can understand the struggle of finding a jacket that hits below the bum. Well, no issue with this gem of a find!
My favourite pair of skinny jeans which are beyond comfortable and ultra stretchy and that you see me wearing here are from Maison Simons, and my synthetic leather water-resistant knee-high winter boots are from Yellow Shoes.
