While I love playing with bold and vibrants colours, I also enjoy keeping things simple when it comes to my makeup (best of both worlds, right?). With spring approaching, I've been trying out a few makeup collections, such as this one from Sothys, and today's look features the Glo Minerals Living Color Collection in Full Bloom*. This collection includes an eyeshadow quad, a cream blush, a shadow stick and a gloss that will help you achieve the no-makeup makeup look in a few easy steps.
The Full Bloom Eyeshadow Quad includes two shimmery shades and two matte shades (clockwise): harvest (shimmery light bronze), suede (matte light beige), mahogany (matte reddish brown) and dusk (metallic silver grey). These Glo Minerals powder eyeshadows are pigmented with just one swipe, but also pack on nicely if you want to build up intensity and are also a breeze to blend. To make them wear longer, I've been using the new Glo Minerals Shadow Primer to prevent the colours from fading throughout the day. In the look pictured below, I used harvest all over my lid, suede in my crease, mahogany in the outer-v and dusk on my lower lash line.
The Glo Minerals Cream Stay Shadow Stick in Keepsake not only looks beautiful on its own, but it also acts as an eye primer if using similar toned powder colours on top. It does not crease and blends easily with either a brush or your fingers. This bronze twist shadow stick includes a built-in sharpener on one end, making it easy to keep a pointed tip. I love how versatile this creamy shade is and what's even better is that it will suit any skin tone or eye colour.
I am not the biggest fan of cream shadows - I have hyper pigmentation on my cheeks due to previous spots, and creamy formulas tend to emphasize them more. While I probably won't be reaching for this product very often, I still love this beautiful dark peach cream blush called Fig. I apply it using a stippling blush and go in with just one dab, lightly dot it on my cheekbones and then blend. I have to be very careful when applying cream blushes because they are usually very pigmented, and this one is not exception so I recommend using a very light hand.
Upon seeing the Gloss in Pueblo, I knew I would take a quick liking to it. What you see is literally what you get since this nude lipgloss is very opaque. Some nudes tend to wash me out, but it is not the case with this one as it has a light pink undertone. The formula is also very moisturizing and gives your lips a nice sheen. Perfect for every day if you ask me!

Glo Minerals has also come out with new primers which I also used to create the look below: their Mattifying Primer* and Shadow Primer*, as mentioned above. Both work great to make my makeup last longer, prevent shine and creasing and also intensify colour.
If you are looking for fuss-free, natural-looking makeup to wear this season, the Glo Minerals Living Color Collection in Full Bloom (C$80) delivers on all fronts.
Will you be keeping your makeup simple for this upcoming season?
