Acure The Magical Wonderfluff and Moroccan Argan Oil Set | Review
I discovered Acure a few years ago when I ordered their Brightening Facial Scrub on iHerb.com. I am a huge fan to this day and was looking forward to try more from the brand. I recently got a few more products, namely their new The Magical Wonderfluff Overnight Hydrating Booster Mask* and Moroccan Argan Oil Set*. Both caught my eye right off the bat, and I've been testing them out these last few weeks. I thought I would share how I've been getting along with them, so here we go!
If you are not familiar with Acure, the brand is very popular in the green beauty community as they are made with quality, natural and sustainable ingredients, many of which are organic, at a very affordable price point. All of their products are vegan and cruelty free and are free of harmful chemicals such as parabens, phtalates and sulfates and are also void of gluten, synthetic fragrances, artificial colours and silicone.
First off, can we just talk about how catchy the name "The Magical Wonderfluff" is? The people behind Acure seem to have a sense of humour, with the instructions reading: "Apply a thin layer to face, neck and chest after cleansing and toning. May be used over a night time cream to boost benefits. Or whatever, I don't want to be bossy." Smart marketing if you ask me, as I don't know anyone who would not be curious to give this a try! Despite its intriguing name, this product basically acts as a night cream since it is on the slightly thicker side. The extensive list of ingredients can look overwhelming at first, but by taking a closer look I spotted many of my favourites, including aloe vera leaf juice (great to calm irritation and redness), rosehip extract (which helps reduce the appearance of scars) and lavender and chamomile essential oil (both of which have calming properties). Despite containing a bunch of oils, the formula does not feel greasy and absorbs quickly. I may have just found my new favourite night treatment!
The Moroccan Argan Oil Set includes three scented argan oils mixtures: Citrus Ginger, Coconut and Rose. Each one normally retails for $12.99 for the same individual sizes that are included in this set, so you actually end up saving quite a bit of money when purchasing them this way. These certified organic oil blends have 5 uses in 1, namely: repairing facial serum, body and décolleté massage oil, hair serum, hand and cuticle repair and soothes dry elbows and heels. I've tried them a few different ways and since the product does not absorb very quickly, I prefer using these oils on my body and hair as opposed to my face. My favourite scent would have to be Citrus Ginger, but you really cannot go wrong with any of these as they all smell lovely.
Acure's The Magical Wonderfluff Overnight Hydrating Booster Mask (US$19.99, 41 mL) and Moroccan Argan Oil Set (3 x 30 mL) can be purchased on Acure's website and on iHerb.com (use code FFM227 for a discount)!
