It's been a while since I've talked skin care on the blog! Fear not, I have been putting many products to the test behind the scenes these last few months and I will be sharing more of my recent discoveries with you. One of these recent finds is the Joa Bath and Body line. This Canadian-made, natural product line was started by owner Cindy, who had suffered from sensitive skin throughout her childhood. When her children were afflicted with the same skin issues, she decided to venture into making beauty products that would soothe and calm the skin without using unnecessary, toxic ingredients which often come with side effects.
This year has been the year of bath soaks ever since trying this bath fizzer, and the Happy Bath Bomb* is just the latest addition. If you ever have a rough day, there is nothing quite as relaxing as a soak in the tub to help you unwind and clear your head. This half sphere contains sunflower oil, witch hazel, pink clay, grapefruit and tangerine essential oil, just to name a few.
If you're a regular reader of this blog, you know how much of a soap bar lover I am! The Indulgence Bath Soap* is lavender-vanilla scented (be still, my heart) without being too overpowering. Other ingredients include soybean oil, olive oil, coconut oil and cocoa seed butter. I like to use it as a shave lather as well and it leaves my skin nice and smooth.
Another product I quickly took a liking to is the Pure Unscented Body Soufflé*. It's a hybrid between a whipped and creamy consistency, excellent for this time of the year when our skin becomes flaky with the drop in temperatures. Despite being scent free, it is still packed full of wonderful ingredients, such as mango seed butter, shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil and aloe vera. I especially love applying this on my arms and legs, focusing on my elbows, knees and ankles.
I've also been using the Delightful Cranberry Hand Cream*, a beautifully scented lotion that has done wonders for my hands. Ever since coming back from my trip to Italy my hands have been looking kind of sad, so I've been upping my hand lotion application and this product has really helped. It contains similar ingredients to the Body Soufflé, as well as cranberry seed oil, pink clay, soybean oil and vitamin E, among others.
Say goodbye to chapped lips with the Juicy Cherry Lip Balm*! Seriously, this stuff is amazing - I only need to apply it once a day to avoid dry lips. I have a whole arsenal of natural lip balms, and this one has become one of my favourites. Made with beeswax, coconut oil, palm kernel oil, castor oil and vitamin E, your lips will be in for a treat!
