Aqua Blue Mermaid Eyes Makeup Look | Get Ready With Me

Aqua blue has to be my favourite shade of blue because it reminds me of the ocean and spending time by the pool on a sunny summer day. Since we are nowhere near summer (or even spring for that matter) weather here in Montreal, I thought I would console myself by adding some aqua blue into my life in the form of a vibrant eyeshadow look inspired by the beautiful mythical creature that is the mermaid. I love wearing blue liner, both bright and dark, but this time around I felt compelled to use a mixture of blue tones, namely D-236 Lagoon Blue and ME-230 Peacock Blue from the Make Up For Ever Artist Palette Volume 3 Florals. I previously shared a video featuring a few pastel-like shadows in this palette (I-804 Golden Pink, I-918 Lavender and S-404 Straw Yellow) - I think both of these looks are perfect for the warmer months!

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fig | Review, Swatches + Makeup Look!

Too Faced is one of those brands that really stands out from the rest. Although I haven't tried too many of their products, they certainly know how to create buzz with their unique formulations and sweet packaging (and scents!), not to mention they have a lot of vegan options, including this entire liquified lipstick line. A few months ago, I was shopping at Sephora and I really wanted to pick up a liquid lipstick in a shade I didn't already own. As I set my eyes on the Too Faced display, the Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fig stood out - and then I thought to myself: "Wait a minute... I actually don't own any purple-toned lip shades!". Let's just say the swatch sealed the deal almost instantly.

My Institut Esthederm Skin Care Routine

I was introduced to Epiderma a few months ago when I had the opportunity to visit their clinic in downtown Montreal and received a couple of salicylic acid facial peels - my first time ever trying anything of the sort! Even though I was worried about the outcome, my skin reacted really well to the acid and I was pleasantly surprised by the noticeable results after only two treatments. I've recently been incorporating a few specially selected products by Epiderma for my skin type from the brand Institut Esthederm into my daily routine, namely their Osmoclean Gentle Deep Pore Cleanser*, Pure System Pure Control Care Cream* and a new arrival, Radiance Detoxifying Illuminating Care*, which all happen to be available at Epiderma clinics as well as online. I have been LOVING every single one of these products - and I'm about to tell you why!

Foreo LUNA Mini 2 Electric Face Brush Review/Demo + Clarisonic Comparison

A skin care device that has been getting a lot of buzz in the last few years is the Foreo LUNA. I have to say I never considered trying it, because I was so set on getting a Clarisonic Mia - which I ended splurging on years ago and even shared a review on it in my first year of blogging (oh the memories)! While I used to love it, I eventually got tired of having to repurchase the brush head because let's just say it isn't the cheapest on the market. I have tried a few other facial devices since then, such as the Evoderma Noome - but again, I haven't been using it much recently since it isn't so much for cleansing but more for anti-aging purposes. When I was approached by Foreo to give their new LUNA Mini 2* device a try, I was hoping this would be THE one that would get me hooked for good - let's just say the pros outweigh the cons and I can definitely see a long term relationship flourishing...

Arbonne Skin Care: Rejuvenating Cream, Sea Mud Face and Body Mask + RE9 Advanced Set | Review

Arbonne is one of those brands that has peeked my curiosity for many years. I am now familiar with a few of their lip products, having previously share their Smoothed Over Lipsticks and also a shade each of their Glossed Over Lip Gloss and Lip Liner. I was recently introduced to the Arbonne skin care line and received a handful of items to try from their various collections, namely the Arbonne Rejuvenating Cream*, Seasource Detox Spa Sea Mud Face and Body Mask* and RE9 Advanced Set*. In case you didn't know, their line is certified vegan and cruelty free, and void of known skin aggressors such as talc, phtalates, synthetic dyes and mineral oil - something I always appreciate. I've been giving these a go for the last few weeks and wanted to share how these have been working for me. Are they worthy of your hard earned mula?

NEW Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Collection: Face Palette in Light 20, Brow in Dark Blond 20 and Lip in Carmine Red 40 | Review + Look

When I first got into makeup, I really stuck to the basics - a bit of concealer to cover imperfections, mascara to show that I actually have lashes (they are almost non-existent without it) and a touch of blush to make my cheeks pop. As years went by, I discovered the power of filling my brows in, having a statement lip and eventually discovering the huge difference that contouring and highlighting makes. I am still far from being a pro, but I always love trying new techniques and products to step up my makeup game. For instance, I have yet to try a cream kit, so I was super ecstatic to try the NEW Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Face Palette in Light 20* along with their Pro Sculpting Brow in Dark Blond 20* and Pro Sculpting Lip in Carmine 40*. Interested in learning how these perform, seeing swatches and how they look applied? You've come to the right place!

NSPA Beauty 4-Step Skin Care Routine | Review

You might recall that I have previously mentioned NSPA Beauty on here - I had the chance to give some of their products a try a couple of years ago, and today I'm back with a new routine I've been testing out and wanted to fill you in on! A few of these items are unlike anything I've tried before, so I was apprehensive to see how well they would work on my skin. What is really neat about their line is that you can easily create your own custom routine as they divide their face products into 4 categories: Step 1 - Cleanse, Step 2 - Exfoliate, Step 3 - Treat and Step 4 - Moisturize. I picked one product from each, namely their Deep Cleansing Face Wash*, Hot Cloth Polish*, Radiant Flash Serum* and Youthful Eye Cream*. Has this new routine been working for me?

DIY Natural Beauty Products and Treatments | Top 3 Books To Get You Started

Has the idea of making your own facial moisturizer or natural shampoo ever crossed your mind? Call me old school, but I think it is so neat to make your own beauty products because you have full control over what ingredients go into them. I really enjoy making my own face masks, some of which I have previously shared on the blog, such as my Easy DIY Spirulina Face Mask for problem skin and Super Easy DIY French Green Clay Mask for acne prone and oily skin. I also shared How To Lighten Your Hair Naturally using two ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen - you won't believe how simply this can be done! In the last few months, I have been on the lookout for the best resources to get me started with whipping up my own face, body and hair products, hence I thought I would share three books* I have come across, each containing hundreds of DIY recipes that have inspired me to try something new!
