Jouviance Rouge Magistral Perfection and Gloss XOXO for Pouty Lips | Review + Try On

Who here loves a good lip product that makes you look and feel fabulous and doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I can see you raising your hand! I thought I would share some of my current favourites when it comes to showing off that beautiful pout of yours since I know how hard it can be to find a lipstick that will not only apply with ease, but will also last, hydrate and will have excellent colour payoff to top it all off. Drugstore lip products are often hit or miss - in my experience, they have a tendency to be drying since they do not always have the best ingredients, especially if you have sensitive skin. Jouviance took this all into consideration when formulating their NEW Rouge Magistral Perfection* featuring three stunning lip shades: Attraction, Tendre and Unique. I also wanted to include their Gloss XOXO* in Kiss & Make Up and Bise which I've been loving as well.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with homegrown brand Jouviance, it was founded in 2003 by a reputable Canadian dermatologist who wanted to come out with beauty and skin care products he could be confident to recommend. I have been enjoying a handful of both their makeup and skincare products in the last few months so I was really looking forward to giving these a whirl!

Jouviance Rouge Magistral Perfection in Attraction

The NEW Rouge Magistral Perfection range was created with your mood in mind. Attraction is the punchiest of the three, a vibrant fuchsia-red shade that provides a healthy-looking, satin finish. For those times when you want to look sexy and daring, this lipstick will make you shine! Their magnetic packaging gives them that luxurious feel too, something you rarely see at the drugstore.

Jouviance Rouge Magistal Perfection in Tendre

Tendre is much more subdued, a rosy-nude that could be described as a 'your lips but better' shade for those of us with lightly pigmented lips. The creamy formula means you will not have to reach for a lip balm prior to application, so it really is a no-fuss, easy to wear colour suitable for everyday wear.

Jouviance Rouge Magistral Perfection in Unique

Unique is one of those shades that looks kind of bland in the tube, yet makes you look elegant and put together. This sober beige is very 'in' right now considering how nude lips have make a comeback and are trending everywhere. I can't believe I'm even saying this, but this one may just be my favourite one from the bunch - it is simply stunning!

Since all three Rouge Magistral Perfection lipsticks have a satin finish, they are great to pair with lip gloss for extra shine. The Jouviance Gloss XOXO (C$20.00 each, 4.7 mL or 0.2 oz) layer beautifully on top without disturbing the lip shade you already have going on. Kiss & Make Up, although quite vibrant in the tube, is actually very sheer and will provided just a hint of pigment and shimmer. Bise has a similar finish, perfect to combine with nude or even more vibrant lip shades for a glossier pout. Both come with a convenient doe-foot applicator.
