NEW Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation Review + Fall Makeup Look!

Liquid foundations have been my go-to since I started wearing makeup and in the last couple of years I've also grown to love powder foundations (this one being one of my favourites). I haven't experimented much with stick foundations, and the few that I have tried have left me feeling unimpressed. I was looking forward to see if the new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation* would step up to the plate and change my opinion on them for good. I thought I would also show you a darker makeup look using a few more products by the brand, including the Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Pencil in 0L Matte Black*, the Smoky Extravagant Mascara*, Aqua Lip Liner Pencil in Red 8C* and Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in #43 Moulin Rouge*.

On my face | Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation in Y245
I got the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Stick Foundation in the shade Y245 Soft Sand which is suitable for medium complexions. Thankfully the colour matches me almost perfectly since I am at my darkest right now. I actually find it to be a bit lighter than my current skin tone, but nothing a bit of bronzer can't remedy! As it is a creamier formula it takes more effort to blend in and I notice that it tends to accentuate my pores. I also often get oily in my T-zone after a long day with it on, so I make sure to set with powder beforehand. If I had to choose between the two, the Ultra HD Liquid Foundation (reviewed here) would be my first choice since it is more long-wearing and easier to blend.

To create this fall look, I used the Aqua Eyes Pencil in 0L Matte Black which is very creamy and easy to work with and the Smoky Extravagant Mascara which gives the illusion of fuller lashes. I really like the tapered wand as it helps lift even the most hard to reach lashes.

For lips, I lined the outer edge with the Aqua Lip Liner in Red 8C and applied the Rouge Artist Intense lipstick in #43 Moulin Rouge.

Here you can see the look I created using all of the above products:

Do you switch out the products you use for fall?

  2. I've never tried a stick foundation before, so I don't really know how well they perform compared to liquid foundations! I would imagine blendability to be one of the biggest issues with this format though.
Love the look you created--you can never go wrong with simple black liner + red lipstick! That shade is gooooooorgeous too *-*
