Summer launches have to be my favourite because 1) that means summer is on its way and 2) plenty more reasons to play with bright colours and go for that bronzed, glowy look, am I right? Better yet is when you know your makeup will last all day despite the heat and humidity. When I saw Make Up For Ever's summer launches, my heart skipped a beat. Firstly, their Pro Bronze Fusion waterproof bronzers, available in six shades and two finishes, will have you looking sun-kissed in just a few swipes. I have shades 20M Natural Matte Sand* and 25I Soft Iridescent Cinnamon* and the handy 136 Pro Bronze Fusion Kabuki* to share with you, as well as two new shades from the Aqua Matic Waterproof Glide-On Eye Shadows in D-70 Diamond Peach* and ME-32 Metallic Golden Khaki*. They also came out with two new Aqua Rouge Waterproof Liquid Lip Colors, and I will be swatching 21 Cool Candy Pink* for you below. The makeup look I came up with featuring these new products actually came out more wearable than I thought (see for yourself below)!

Make Up For Ever recently came out with their Pro Sculpting Duos (see here), so I was thrilled to see they came out with full compact bronzers. Before getting into the performance of the Pro Bronze Fusion bronzers, I have to start with the packaging. It has to be my favourite that the brand has created so far. The compact is metallic and super sleek, the bronze finish being a teaser for what to expect inside. Once opened, you will find a beautiful pressed gel-powder with a wavy surface pattern, a 'wave hello' to summer, the heat waves and to the crashing waves at the beach. Shade 20M Natural Matte Sand is more cool toned compared to 20I Soft Iridescent Cinnamon, which is warmer and has more of a subtle sheen to it. These are formulated for medium skin tones, but they are buildable so I can see myself using them even at my fairest. Both swatch beautifully on the hand and do not feel heavy whatsoever. They take a bit more work when applying to my face, as I have to dip the 136 Pro Bonze Fusion Kabuki brush back into the pan a few times so that the product shows up nicely. I've been using 20M as an all-over bronzer and 25I as a contour shade in the hollows of my cheeks using the side of the synthetic kabuki brush, which is flat ended and very dense, designed specifically to work with these bronzers. The result? Both bronzers stay put and withstand the summer heat, that's for sure!

Along with these new eye products, Make Up For Ever also released two new pink shades in their Aqua Rouge Waterproof Liquid Lip Color collection, #23 Apricot Pink, and the one I have to share with you today, #21 Cool Candy Pink (see my past review here). What's nice with the Aqua Rouge lip products is that you get the pigment on one end and a clear gloss on the other, so you can create both a matte or glossy finish with each shade. Just wait a couple of minutes to let the lip color dry and apply the gloss on top for that 'juicy lips' effect. The brand recently came out with the Artist Plexi-Glosses which I just love (see here). I was really smitten by this cool pink shade after unboxing it - it's a true barbie pink! At first I was convinced it would make me look over the top, but I am very pleased with how it looks once applied. I put it to the ultimate test by wearing it to work, and despite talking for hours on end, drinking a ton of water and snacking on food, when I got home eight hours later is was still put (minus the gloss) and looked freshly applied. This stuff is great!
