NEW La Roche-Posay Lipikar Gel Lavant and Lipikar Fluide | Review
Are you ready to take on summer and show off your radiant skin? It's been a process for me since my skin has been acting up (as it typically likes to do). To remedy, I've recently included a few new products into my skin care regimen, including a recently launched duo from La Roche-Posay: Lipikar Gel Lavant* and Lipikar Fluide* to help restore my skin. After recently emptying my Baume AP+ (great stuff, more on it here), I was looking forward to try the brand's new lotion and test out one of their gels for the first time. What is so great about these two products is that they are suitable for the entire family (including babies) since they are paraben-free. They can also be used on the face and body, formulated to both soothe and protect sensitive skin.
Lipikar Gel Lavant (400 ml, C$21.00) is a soap-free shower gel that effectively cleanses and restores moisture with calming ingredients such as niacinamide, shea butter and sweet almond oil. It helps neutralize the effects associated with hard water and removes sweat and dirt with ease. I love that I can leave it in the shower for everyone to use - the big bottle makes it super convenient to share! Paired with a luffa sponge, it creates a gentle lather and leaves skin looking and feeling squeaky clean. It does have a synthetic fragrance though, which I'm not the biggest fan of as the above ingredients' scents do not come through. Other household members haven't been bothered by it though, so I guess it comes down to personal preference.
Lipikar Fluide (200 ml, $19.00 or 400 ml, C$29.00) is a scent-free daily moisturizer with a light texture that absorbs super quickly. It does not leave a sticky or oily residue, perfect if you need to put clothes on and get out of the door fast. I apply it when my skin is still moist, usually after showering, and it locks in the moisture for a good 24 hours. If you are dealing with specifically dry or flaky areas, which I get on my elbows and upper arms, this will provide relief. The big bottle is great to share too and comes with a pump dispenser that has a locking mechanism.
Lipikar Gel Lavant and Lipikar Fluide are now available at drugstores carrying the brand in Canada.

These sounds amazing, I like the fact that they don't leave a residue

I love La Roche Posay products and am mostly familiar with their skincare but I'd love to give their body care products a try. I'm into more scent free lotions these days. :-)

ReplyDeleteI love La Roche Posay products :D
ReplyDeleteHi, I wanted to ask you a couple of things *english is not my native language so I'm not very fluide with it*.
ReplyDelete1) I've been searching through the internet and some reviews I've been reading said that this has the same effect or that it makes the same thing that the Lipikar Baume AP+, I read your review about the product but still wanted to ask you that. I'm under an acne treatment with adapalene + clindamicine *I don't know how to write that medicine in english, sorry again*, Isotretinoin and Effaclar Duo+ and Effaclar Foaming gel and I went to my dermatologist and recommended me the Baume AP+ because my neck and chest get really itchy and full of redness but not dry at all, just that; and also in my country this product *the Fluide* it's not selled.
2) Have you tried the Lipikar shower Oil or Lipikar Surgras? I can't decide wich one to use. As I said, in my country, most of this products are not selled and I have to buy them from somewhere else, so I wanted to have a second opinion about that, would you recommend me this shower gel or, in case you used one of the other 2 products, wich one? Sorry for the long post :c and thanks for sharing :D
They are quite similar, yes - I don't think you can go wrong with either one! I have not tried the Shower Oil or Lipikar Surgras, however I really like this shower gel I reviewed here. Honestly, La Roche-Posay products have all worked very well for me and they are highly recommended for those suffering with acne by dermatologists, so I'd definitely give them a shot :)
DeleteGreat post!
ReplyDeleteI bought the Lipikar Fluide today and I love the texture. It almost feels watery amd my skin soaked it in immediately...fab product! ❤️
