Get Summer Smooth Skin with Nair Cire Divine Moroccan Argan Oil Wax

Nair Cire Divine Moroccan Argan Oil Wax

With summer just around the corner, it's time to show off some skin! One of the many reasons summer is my favourite season is that I get to wear flowy skirts and dresses and, of course, cute tops and sandals. Not to mention that I'm able to get more fitness activities in by spending time in the pool and going for nice long walks under the sun. With a more active lifestyle involving greater skin exposure comes making time for an extra step in my routine: keeping my skin smooth by removing unwanted hair so that I can feel confident in my skin. I will be sharing with you my go-to body care items this season including the new Nair Cire Divine Moroccan Argan Oil Wax which has been making the whole process that much more enjoyable!

First things first: I always turn to my dry body brush before proceeding with hair removal. This handy tool will flake off any leftover dry skin. I've been using this technique for many years and it works wonders every time. All you do is stroke your skin in quick movements, always toward your heart. You will see the dry flakes fall off before your eyes. It is kind of gross but neat at the same time and a great method to use all over the body with the exception of the face.

Moving on to hair removal, I've been a long-time fan of shaving but it also comes with its disadvantages. Post-shave razor burn and itchy skin, anyone? So this time around I thought I would give the Nair Cire Divine Moroccan Argan Oil Wax a try. Mind you, waxing can be a scary task  - trust me when I say I've had my fair share of bad experiences with wax strips. What got me with Nair Cire Divine, however, is that it has a unique "Bye-Bye Ouch" formulation to reduce the uncomfortable sensation often associated with waxing. What is so great is that it is suitable for sensitive skin as it is also paraben-free. Another benefit of this product is that it keeps skin hair-free for up to four weeks following use since it removes hair right from the root. It is made with pine tree resin extract which is easy to rinse off with water. Also included is argan oil (aka liquid gold for the skin), which is packed full of nutrients keeping skin soft and hydrated, with orange blossom providing a lovely scent.

The waxing kit comes with a large tub, a wooden spatula and three post-waxing wipes. Nair Cire Divine is not only great to use on the legs, but is also safe on the armpits and the bikini area. After warming up the wax in the microwave for a couple of minutes, I let it sit a while longer before applying to avoid skin burn. Once I made sure that it was skin-friendly, I used the spatula to lift out a thick knob of wax and smoothed it out by applying a thin layer in the direction of hair growth. Once the strip hardened, I removed it in a swift motion in the opposite direction, making sure to hold my skin taut. It's as simple as that! I finished off with a post-waxing strip to calm the area and followed up with coconut oil to keep the area nice and moisturized long-term.

This simple routine has been working great and I'm so glad to have found a new waxing product that is so gentle on my skin.

  1. To be honest with you i have never tried waxing, I bought a Remington Brand Epilator and tried using it and all i can say is Ouch! It hurt too much, i never used it again. So i am not sure about the whole waxing thing. Although i know it has awesome benefits, but I need to work up the strength to try it.

  2. I saw this in the store the other day and was tempted to buy it. I've had a lot of bad experiences with wax. Either because it simply doesn't work well, or it irritates my skin. So it's a lot of money wasted, since I just end up getting rid of it. I'm going to give this a try! Fingers crossed :)

  3. I'm a waxer, it's not something I enjoy (who does lol), but I really don't want to shave every day or two so waxing seems like a better solution for me. Haven't seen this before and it looks like a great product, gentle but effective!

  7. I've been getting my legs waxed for 20 years now! I do it myself between spa visits in the summertime (cause going to the spa every 2 weeks would be too much $$). I'll definitely have to give this one a try.

  11. Waxing is always one of those things I tell myself I'm going to do. But it seems like it takes more time than grabbing a razor.
