Living in His Way
When Joel and I got married, my parents offered us their old bedroom furniture for our new home. Sweet! Free furniture! The dressers were a little 80s but we were happy to receive them.
My Love for Words
Let’s face it, if I enjoyed decluttering my house never would’ve become cluttered in the first place.
Despite my love for making lists, I’m just not one of those born organized personalities.
Flourish & Knot
Sometimes things just don’t turn out the way you thought they would. Cakes fail to rise. Paint refuses to cure. Flowers… well, they can just be finicky at times.
Last Wednesday I went grocery shopping (which means I came home with $60 worth of groceries and $15 in flowers). I had had a rough day and really just needed spring. I set about preparing my haul.

Motherhood.
How can the most beautiful opportunity be the most terrifying and exhausting responsibility?
Regardless of how many kids you have or even how old they are, moms everywhere fall into the trap of trying to do everything for their families.
A Sprinkle of This and That
Last night, the hubby and I were talking about food we used to eat as a kid. TV dinners were hot and we both recalled how the back used to pop up into a scene of some sort. Kind of like a tv screen. Then there were fish sticks. I didn't enjoy them as much, but the hubby just loved them. How about Sloppy Joe? Do you remember those? Ground meat in a barbecue type sauce that is just smothered in cheese. Oh my...what an easy dinner! Delicious and fast! I think your kiddos need to be introduced to these little dinner treasures. If they already know about the Sloppy Joe, they're going to want some of this version for sure! It involves your muffin tin!!!

I was filled with anticipation when I found out the 2015 Sephora Beauty Insider Birthday gift was a set of two NARS Lip Pencils! I haven't tried any NARS products yet, but I've been dying to try the brand for a while. What could make this even better? Both lip pencils are pretty close to being full size - Sephora doesn't mess around with their birthday gifts! Click through to see swatches and first impressions.

Easy Blueberry Cake with Whipped Lemon Frosting
Homemaking Hacks
I’ve been craving blueberry cake with lemon frosting or icing lately. How about easy blueberry cake with an even simpler lemon whipped cream frosting? I am not really sure if I’ve ever actually had it before, but seems I’ve been seeing this flavor combo all over lately. Tempting idea for this time of the year. I actually made this cake for Easter for a delicious change of pace. The beauty is that it’s really easy with the use of store bought cake mix and a very simplified whipped cream frosting.
These roll-ups are quick, delicious and versatile. You can change the sauce up or the cheese, a honey mustard swiss combo sounds heavenly, or a bbq sauce cheddar, yummy! These are so easy to make you could even make a few different varieties to suit all your families taste for dinner.
The Classy Chapter
The other day I was grocery shopping and came across root beer flavored vodka and of course I instantly thought of root beer floats. I’m not a big drinker, in fact, I hardly ever drink, but you can never go wrong with a good martini.
SweepTight
Did you happen to get a Starbucks Birthday Cake Frappuccino during the four or so days that they had them available? Well, I did, and it pretty much ruined me. I almost wish I hadn’t sampled the limited-time deliciousness of this beverage.

I also wanted to share with you an on-going project that I hope to start working on regularly now that I have officially become a full time RV’er! It is my Appliqued State Flower Quilt!
Skin Stuff by Katy
Hey everyone! I'm really excited that my Ipsy bag came in the mail yesterday, and I hadn't even gotten a tracking code. Weird, but that's happened before! This month's theme is called Beautifully Bohemian, and I'm excited for this one.
Ramblings of a Bad Domestic Goddess
Although, the thought of cooking after a hard and stressful day at work, or maybe a fight with your noisy neighbors, is a mood dampener; it often makes a lot of people settle for much less. Sometimes you just don’t have anything to cook! If this settling happens several times a week for you, some change in your planning habits is required.
Pragmatic Mom
What do we need to teach our kids about personal finance NOW when they are still too little to credit card or handle a checking account? And what about do as I say, not as I do? What if WE don’t have great personal finance skills ourselves? Does this mean our kids are doomed to a life of poor financial management?
