Skincare Find: Current Favourite Multi Tasking Cleanser

I've been looking for a natural cleanser since I was all out, and while shopping for food at the health store I came across this one by a local brand which I'd previously heard good things about. I thought it was worth a shot since the price was quite reasonable and it came with a lot of product. This one actually works as a makeup remover too, and it's so gentle that I've even been using it on my eyes. You can read my full thoughts on Sew Crafty Angel as part of my contributing post for the month here.

Have you tried any new skincare products lately?

NEW in Skincare: NIOD Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex | First Impression

I wrote a post a couple of years ago about a product that hit the beauty community by storm for its key ingredient, hyaluronic acid, and as I was curious to see the results for myself, I not surprisingly got sucked into buying it too (more on that here). I ended up really liking it and have repurchased the product quite a few times since, so when I was offered to try new skincare brand NIOD's (or Non-Invasive Options in Dermal Science) Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex* which just launched, I jumped at the opportunity. Hyaluronic acid has gotten a lot of attention in recent years. If you haven't heard of this coveted acid before, it is considered to be one of the best skincare ingredients to boost moisture as it can hold up to 1,000 times its own weight in water... say what?

evoDerma Proneck Massager | Review + Demo!

Have you ever woken up with a stiff neck, wishing you could get a massage right then and there? One of the worst pains I've ever felt was actually when I woke up one morning a few years back and could not move my neck at all - I was paralyzed for the entire day and was bedridden because of it. Definitely one of the scariest moments I've experienced and I was just about ready to go to the hospital. I resorted instead to compresses and cried in agony (it was that bad) trying to get my neck to move again. Thankfully the mobility of my neck came back on its own by the end of the day, to my great relief. How I wish I could have had a massage back then to bring my neck back to health faster. What's great is that it is now possible to do so at home at a fraction of the price. The evoDerma Proneck Massager* works to soothe neck pain and ease tense muscles, improve sleep and reduce stress while stimulating the flow of blood and oxygen. This easy to use, wireless and travel friendly device makes it easy to soothe that painful neck in the comfort of your home. Not to mention it is super affordable and can be shared with others so that everyone benefits. Keep reading for a video demo and also a very special discount code, exclusive to my readers!

Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Duo in #1 Pink Beige and #156 Large Flat Blush Brush | Review

I've been seriously slacking on the whole bronzing/contouring and highlighting thing for the last little while. I think it's because I've felt uninspired by what I have in my stash since most of the bronzers and highlighters I own are quite pigmented and shimmery and are a little too deep for my current fair skin. I was expecting the same from the new Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Duo in #1 Pink Beige*, which I got to try along with their #156 Large Flat Blush Brush*. However, I found that I've been able to pull the duo off without feeling like I am overdoing it. Here's why.

Wella Professionals Elements Collection | Review

I'll be completely honest and say that my hair care routine has mostly consisted of on sale drugstore shampoos and conditioners for most of my life since I'm not that frugal when it comes to hair products (nor is my family... I guess that's where my lack of frivolous spending on hair stuff comes from). I keep my hair routine quite simple and do not dabble much in extra styling products. A good shampoo, conditioner and my best kept secret for nourished hair are really all I need. I recently was introduced to the new Wella Professionals Elements Collection*, which is described as a "free-of" hair care system, meaning it is free of sulfates, parabens and artificial colourants. The line includes four luxurious products, namely a Renewing Shampoo, Daily Renewing Conditioner, Reconstructing Mask and Leave In Conditioning Spray. So how did this collection fare?

Honeybee Gardens Pressed Mineral Powder in Supernatural | Review

Whenever I feel the need to let my skin breathe, I enjoy having makeup free days, however sometimes I need a little extra help when my skin is having a mind of its own and I still have to look put together. I've recently cut back quite a bit on liquid foundation and have been wearing mineral makeup on most days. I first tried the Honeybee Gardens Pressed Mineral Powder almost a year ago when I hauled a bunch of natural beauty products here and have recently repurchased because I love it so much that I find myself reaching for it almost daily. If you've been looking for a natural base that is easy on the wallet, you should definitely keep reading because this natural powder might just be the one you've been looking for!

iHerb Vegan Beauty Haul: Makeup, Skin Care and more!

If you've been following this space for a while, you probably already know that I've been on the hunt for natural alternatives to a variety of beauty items. So far I have come across many different brands and products that have gradually made their way into my daily routine. I love nothing more than to showcase items on here that may not be well-known to most but that I believe still deserve a fair chance, especially when they are affordable and contain non-toxic ingredients. I recently felt the urge to (yet again) explore some more and do a bit of shopping on iHerb.com to see what I could find. As usual, I got sucked in with the deals they were having on the site and ended up ordering a good amount of natural products, all of which are also vegan and cruelty free. So when the box showed up on my doorstep, as per what seems to have become a tradition of sorts, I whipped out my camera and decided to film a haul for you. Hope you enjoy and don't forget to subscribe to my channel if you'd like to see more videos!

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Radiant Primer in Peach | Review

Gone are the days when face makeup does not last as long as it should because of a wonderful little innovation called primer - or so they say. The task for me however has been to find one that really does what it claims. I will admit I have never been much of a primer fan because of how hard of a time I've had finding one that I truly enjoy and with which I notice a significant difference when added to my routine. Well, when I learned that Make Up For Ever recently released a set of ten new primers in their Step 1 Skin Equalizer range, I had high hopes and was eager to put one to the test to see how it would hold up. Around this time last year, I got to try their HD Microperfecting Primer in Green (reviewed here), so I was really looking forward to see how the Step 1 Skin Equalizer in Peach* would compare.

Odacité Peach Cypress Serum Concentrate Review + Montreal Launch Event!

A few weeks back, I was lucky enough to get invited to Annie Young Cosmétiques for the Québec launch of California based skin care brand Odacité. I've already professed my love for their products (proof here) so I was beyond thrilled to learn more about their range and discover a new beauty spot in the city. I squeezed in some time between classes to pop inside the Westmount boutique as my university isn't too far away and I was honestly blown away by the location as well as the wide selection of products available for purchase. I discovered a ton of new brands and had the chance to discover more of the Odacité vegan line and meet the lovely ladies behind both Odacité and Annie Young Cosmétiques, founded in 1987 and run by Annie Young herself and her daughter Sharleen. I was even treated to a personal tour of the boutique by THE Annie Young, which was pretty sweet I must say! Not only will you find their private label brand Annie Young Cosmétiques but you will also discover other brands such as Ellis Faas, Artdeco, RMS Beauty, Lisa Noto, Vitamine & Sea and even Kevyn Aucoin, exclusively found at this boutique in Montreal. They also offer tons of makeup services and even makeup lessons all in one place. I was generously sent home with the Odacité Peach Cypress Serum Concentrate* and a complimentary makeup session at the boutique which I'm looking forward to put to use in the near future.

Acure Brightening Facial Scrub | Review

Facial scrubs really intimidated me when I first started using facial care products since my skin is rather sensitive and acne prone. I was on the hunt for a natural one and came across the Acure Brightening Facial Scrub and decided to get it from iHerb as it came out cheaper than the retail price (see my full haul here). Well, I have been using it for quite a few months now, and thought it was about time I share how it has been working for me!
