NEW Make Up For Ever HD Cream Blush | #330 Rosy Plum

Although blushes are among my most favourite makeup items, I have just recently started dabbling into cream blushes. I honestly don't know what took me so long to try them out, but let's just say I was definitely missing out! One that has made its way into my collection lately is the Make Up For Ever HD Cream Blush in Rosy Plum* (#330). The brand has just recently launched their HD Blush line for Spring 2014, and I must admit it was hard to pick one shade out of the stunning 16-blush lot. I finally settled on Rosy Plum which I thought would be perfect for everyday wear as it is not too bright nor too dark for my fair skin. The shades in the line range from bright pinks, reds and corals to dark browns and purples, so there is bound to be a shade that will tickle your fancy!

What is so cool about this range is that the blushes were designed to blend seamlessly into the skin, and they have been tested to look super flawless, basically like second skin both in real life and on camera. These blushes contain ingredients such as silicone oils, dry oils, silica powders, and synthetic mica, which are all meant to provide a long-lasting, satin finish result. As soon as I dipped my finger into the pan, butter is all I could think about - seriously, this stuff is so creamy and smooth! Rosy Plum is nicely pigmented, and although it can be applied with the fingers, I tested it out with a stippling brush and have been loving the result it has been providing.

This cream blush does not fade on me one bit throughout the day, unlike many of the powder blushes, and even other cream blushes I own. What's so great about it too is that it can be layered on top of my setting powder without it looking cakey or patchy. I especially like how slim and non-bulky the packaging is, and the fact that the compact contains a mirror is always a plus for me. If you are looking for a good quality blush that will last you the entire day, I would highly recommend you try the new Make Up For Ever blushes. Rosy Plum definitely beats any of the other cream blushes I own and I have been wearing it every day without fail ever since I got it as I really like how natural it looks once blended in! :)

The Make Up For Ever HD Cream Blushes retail for CAD $31.00 (0.09 oz) and are sold exclusively at Sephora in stores and online, as well as at Make Up For Ever Boutiques.

  12. This blush looks really nice and natural on you! I love the way you described the texture. Sounds heavenly and buttery. My climate is humid and I've to stick to powder blushes. Make Up Forever has got some really quality products. I have their eyeliner but sadly they smudged on me in the humid climate.

  17. I started using cream blushes under my foundation to give a natural glow for winter months to make bronzer look less strange in December, a trick I learned from James Vincent (makeup artist). I like that this can be used over your setting powder. Great review!
