Mavala Oil Seal Dryer: Touch-Dry Manicure In Seconds!

If you are like me and paint your nails regularly, you know how frustrating it can be to seal in your nail design with a top coat, and then have it ruined with an accidental smudge, despite being positive that it had completely dried. Oh how the struggle is real! Thankfully, there are more and more products coming out that offer almost instantly dry nails after just one application, one of them being the Mavala Oil Seal Dryer*. For those of you who are unaware, Mavala is a reputable Swiss brand that specializes in all kinds of beauty products, ranging from skin care, nail care, hair care, and more! I was quite curious to try this product out as I had never tried anything like it, and I have to say that it has quickly become a must-have in my nail painting routine!

What is so great about this product is its formulation. The Mavala Oil Seal Dryer contains cotton seed oil and is rich in omega-6 and antioxidant Vitamin E, which work together to nourish the cuticles. This clear nail oil was also created to combat dry skin, and hence won't dry the nail beds out like many other products do.

After applying my top coat, I only need to wait a few seconds before applying a very thin coat of the Mavala Oil Seal Dryer with quick brush strokes to seal everything in place. The first time I used this I used way too much product, but I have since learned my lesson and it now works like a charm. The trick is to hold the brush horizontally without applying too much pressure. I usually wait about a minute after applying my top coat before adding the Oil Seal Dryer. When painting on, you can also let it spill out of the nail bed to give your cuticles some much needed hydration. Only 10 seconds after application, you will be left with a protected nail design, free from any fingerprints, sheet marks, light scratches or knocks!

The 10 mL bottle retails for $16.50 in Canada, and can be purchased here.

  2. Mavala makes a pretty good top coat (although it peels over some formulas it's pretty resistent on others). This is the first time I notice this one and now I'm quite curious! Does is make you n/p last even longer than with just a top coat?

    1. I didn't notice it making my polish last longer, my manicure usually starts chipping 2-3 days after application and I had the same experience even when using the oil seal dryer.. I guess it just comes down to the quality of the base nail polish you use. It does however give my nails even more of a shiny finish which I really like! :)
