The packaging definitely caught my attention on this one. I'd have to say it is probably the prettiest drugstore mascara packaging, with the choice of colours and flames design, I love! The mascara wand has an hourglass shape, which I had never tried in a mascara before. As usual I got the darkest shade, called Very Black Blaze. Covergirl claims that this mascara instantly builds maximum volume and effortlessly curls the lashes.
In my case, this mascara lengthened and separated my lashes more than it provided volume. My lashes are naturally pin straight, so I always have to curl them because mascara alone won't give them that desired curl. This mascara I would say is good if you prefer natural looking lashes, but personally I like mascaras that provide more of a dramatic look.

Have you tried the Covergirl Flamed Out mascara? What did you think?
I tried this too & I agree with you. I don't love it or hate it.
ReplyDeleteMy friend said the same thing about this, she said it was just ok and gave a "natural look"
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried this yet since I have so many darn mascaras to use! Maybe someday...

I wasn't too impressed with this mascara when I first bought it, however, after a month or two, I started to like it! It held a curl better and added a little more volume!

I haven't tried it before. I really like using the waterproof mascara from GOSH. My favorite! it makes my lashes curl so perfectly and it stays on the same place. My lashes are kind of heavy and starts to hang after an hour when I applied mascara. Gosh hasn't done that at all!
ReplyDeleteAw.. this mascara looks a bit disappointing in my opinion, I've seen it at Casie Holmes first impressions videos and I didn't like it.. I mean, covergirl has amazing mascaras! I'd love to get my hands on the volume lash blast again!

This is a bit disappointing isn't it. I love mascaras that give volume & length - perfect for when you want to wear little make up as it looks like you've made more of an effort! Just found your blog & love it :) Now following on bloglovin! x

I've never tried this mascara, but I like a less clumpy look. It's hard to find a mascara that will add volume with no clumps or length. Maybe I'm weird, I'd just like thick, full lashes. Maybe I'll try Lash Blast Fusion.

I haven't tried this one, but I absolutely love CoverGirl mascaras in general! Great review :)

They come out with so many mascaras and many of them are just average...But you have gorgeous eyes so you don't even have to wear mascara.

The brush reminds me of Too Faced Better Than $ex brush. I also like mascaras that give a more dramatic effect. I recently tried a L'Oreal mascara that I have been loving.
ReplyDeleteI really like the look of this packaging, and I totally agree that it's the prettiest in the drugstore by far. I can see that this definitely gave more length than it did volume, so I think I'll be passing on this one. Thanks for the amazing review, and I was stoked to see that you're a Canadian blogger as well!
