Carmex Limited Edition Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm Collection

One of the things I like trying out most is lip balm. Yes, you read right, I love lip balms! In all honesty I probably have enough to last me an entire decade, and yet I find myself always itching to try more. They are so great on the go, and so I usually keep one handy in my school bag, one in my purse, and one on my vanity. I know I am addicted, because if ever I forget to take one with me, I find myself searching for the nearest drugstore for a dry lips savior. I can't be the only one who does this, right?

Anyhow, I wanted to share with you yet another new favourite that I've added to my stash, the Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm*. If you are familiar with the Carmex brand, you would know that these actually already exist, but Carmex wanted to *spice things up* by launching their very first Limited Edition Design Collection. This collection features the latest trends for 2014, which Carmex translated into the packaging design of their popular lip balm.

From left to right:

Adventurous* - leopard print, a fun, bold pattern for those who like to get noticed

Chic* - a black and white design, represents both elegance and sophistication

Fab* - a funky design representing the retro trend and featuring purple, which will dominate this season                    (pictured below)

I had heard many good things about Carmex, and I was really happy with how this lip balm performed. It's main ingredient is aloe vera, one of my favourite skin care ingredients. This product also contains beeswax, shea butter, safflower seed oil, olive oil, avocado butter, castor seed oil, vitamin E and SPF 15 - I mean this stuff is packed with all the good stuff! This product also comes with a surprise: it makes your lips slightly tingle! It is nothing too uncomfortable, and there is no plumping effect, well not that I have noticed anyways. I really like that the balm comes in a twist tube, as it is perfect to carry around with you, and the slant tip makes application super easy. Not to mention that this stuff smells amazing!

Over the next seasons, Carmex will be launching new designs and adding to the collection, so do keep your eyes peeled for even more fun patterns!
