Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

When I heard that the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation provided full coverage and was long-lasting on oily skin, I knew I had to put it to the test. Having combination skin prone to acne and scarring, I had really high hopes that this drugstore product would help cover my imperfections... and let me tell you, I am really glad I jumped on the bandwagon and gave this little gem a chance!

I don't know about you, but I always have the hardest time matching myself to the right shade at the drugstore. The fact that there are no testers is an inconvenience, and whenever I am stuck between two shades I end up going for the lightest of the two because I figure that I can always bronze my face if it ends up being too light. I settled for the shade 910 Classic Ivory, the second lightest shade of the line.

First off, its staying power: I have never tried a foundation that has left my skin shine-free for so long. This stuff really keeps the oils at bay, it's astounding! Whereas I would normally have to blot my t-zone after a couple of hours, I can go all day without having to worry about any shininess peaking through. It also does not oxidize on my skin, which is also an important factor for getting my seal of approval.

In terms of coverage, I would say it is medium after one layer. I prefer full coverage foundations, and luckily this foundation is easily layerable without leaving a cakey finish. Looking of blendability, I am also very happy with the finish it gives. I use the Real Techniques Expert Face brush to buff the product into my skin. It applies easily and leaves the foundation well-blended without effort.

Now, let's talk about the packaging - let's just say this one will be my new travel buddy. It is very durable since the bottle is made of glass, and the fact that the bottle comes with a pump that has a locking mechanism is just the cherry on top! From all the drugstore liquid foundations I have tried, this is the first that comes with a pump. I wish all brands could make our lives easier and add a pump to their liquid products... it is so much more practical and prevents messy spills from happening!

I would highly recommend this foundation if you haven't tried it already. I am really glad I gave it a chance!

  3. Sounds like this foundation checks off a whole slew of requirements! I can't believe I haven't tried this yet, considering how often it is raved about! (having a pump for a medium-full coverage, long wearing foundation sounds like a dream kinda sounds like a myth though)
