I have been using the Marcelle loose powder in Translucent for the last couple of months and it has been amazing for setting my foundation and leaving my skin shine free throughout the day. I thought I would share my new discovery with you since I have never heard anyone mention this product before! :) I have combination skin that gets crazy dry in the winter around my cheek area but tends to get oily in my t-zone, so this powder has definitely been doing an outstanding job at making my makeup hold up nicely throughout the day! :D
I had only tried the Marcelle brand once before, when I had purchased their eye makeup remover. Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience as it stung my eyes like a you know what lol. I really wanted to branch out and try something different from my regular pressed powder, so when I saw this gem at the drugstore for only $11 (retail price I must add...pretty darn good!), I was sold! It is very finely milled and easy to work with, although you have to be careful not to use too much...a little goes a long way! To avoid using too much, I shake a small amount on to the lid and swirl my brush around, making sure to tap off any excess to get an even application on my face. This loose powder contains 70 g (2.4 oz) of product, which I already know will last me an eternity - it's never ending haha. Looking at my jar from the side, it still looks full! The powder is hypo-allergenic, so it should not irritate your skin and is perfume free. Finally, I must add that it is a Canadian brand (Montreal represent, whoop!), which I find so cool! If you are looking for an ultra-light powder that will keep you matte all day long, you should definitely try this one by Marcelle. I highly recommend it!
Do you use loose powder? Which one do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below! :)

ReplyDeleteI have this and OMG does it last! I bought it so long ago, and I'm still using it. You should try the Marcelle Lash xtension plus, such a good mascara:D
ReplyDeleteHaha! I think it will take me ages to finish it as well! Thanks for the mascara recommendation! I will definitely look into it! :)

I found your blog through the blog hop and when I saw this post, I knew I had to comment! I love the Marcelle pressed powder! I actually just bought a different brand a few days ago to branch out and because it was a little bit cheaper, haha, and I'm totally regretting it now! The Marcelle always worked really well for me too! I guess it just goes to show that when you find something that works, you should stick with it!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, great blog! I'll definitely be checking back in to read about your beauty finds! ;)
