Yves Rocher brings back fond memories of my childhood as it was my first ever encounter with the wonderful world of beauty. My mom would order makeup and skin care products via their catalogue every few months and would always let me unbox her package and I would sit there ouuuhh-ing and aaaahh-ing at of all her new goodies. I of course went through the naughty phase of trying on her Yves Rocher lipstick and eyeshadow without permission and ended up looking like a clown before I quickly washed it all off (but shhh let's keep that a secret). I recently received a handful of products from Yves Rocher* and I was beyond excited to properly give their line a try - with more makeup application expertise under my belt I might add.
BB Creams are great for everyday wear because they don't feel as heavy and look more natural on the skin. The Sublime Skin BB Cream 6 in 1 provides a light coverage that will even out your skin tone. Not only that, but it also moisturizes and protects the skin against environmental aggressors. You can even layer it to get a bit more coverage without looking cakey. This product is vegan and contains 90% natural ingredients, including white tea and aphloia extract. I know I will be getting a lot of use out of this light shade (with the help of a bit of bronzer) over the next few months because I love the finish it provides.
Summer for me equals playing with colourful shadows and liners, and blue and purple just so happen to be my favourite eye liner shades, so I decided to pair these two Botanical Color Eye Pencils together. They are creamy without being too soft or hard to work with - probably one of the best consistencies I have come across so far in a liner.
Can we talk about how gorgeous both of these shades are? That blue makes me weak in the knees!
I used the Botanical Color Eye Pencil in Iris Purple on my upper lash line and Agave Blue on my waterline.
Below is my completed look - I added a bit of mascara, filled in my brows and used this lip product.
I also painted my nails with the Botanical Color Nail Polish called Water Mint. This is a beautiful turquoise green that adds a fun pop of color and shine. The formula isn't too thick nor too thin and I only needed two coats to reach full opacity. I didn't apply a top coat and didn't experience chipping until four days following application - now that's unprecedented!
Have you tried anything from Yves Rocher?
