With summer just around the corner, I always like to lighten up on makeup since the heat can make my face look like a disaster after spending too much time in the sun, especially since summer days where I live can be extremely humid and can cause a melting episode if I am not careful with the products I use. The nude makeup trend is really in right now and I find it to be the perfect way to achieve a nice, light wash of colour all over my face. Champagne, taupe and light brown shadows really flatter the eyes, while pink blushes and dark bronzers add a nice dimension to the cheekbones and provide a nice overall healthy glow to the skin. Rimmel London has a wide selection of cosmetics that are really great if you are looking for affordable makeup that is pigmented and long-lasting. I got to pick out a few of their products at Walmart and came home with 6 items that are just great to achieve a wearable nude look for the summer! :)
Before and after shot...I look much more alive on the right don't you agree? Keep on reading to see how easy it is to achieve this look! :)
First off, I applied Rimmel's Clean Finish Foundation in Soft Beige, described as "lightweight for a clean, fresh finish." It contains Vitamins A, E, and anti-oxidants, which is definitely a plus! I would say this foundation gave my skin medium coverage. It was very easy to blend and did a good job at covering up any blemishes and redness.
Last step for the face: Rimmel's Match Perfection Blush in Medium/Dark. Instead of mixing all the colours together, I used the light and dark brown to contour and the pink as a blush.
Using the Rimmel Glam'Eyes Quad in Romantic Cool, I applied the right-hand shadow all over the lid, the bottom shadow in the crease, and the top shadow on my brow bone.
Since I have blonde lashes, I need to apply a few coats of mascara to bring some life to my eyes. The new Rimmel ScandalEyes Show Off Mascara in Black did a great job at lengthening and separating my lashes!
Finally, for the lips I chose the Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick by Kate Moss in Rossetto. I made sure to moisturize with lip balm prior to application as nude lipsticks tend to set into the fine lines of my lips if they are not well hydrated!
And there you have it: my super simple nude makeup look that I will be rocking all summer long! :)
I have to say I am very impressed with the Rimmel products I picked! They are really easy to work with and my makeup lasted all day long! :)

This is a great natural look! I really liked the blusher/bronzer you used. I might have to pick one up, I have nowhere near enough blusher/bronzer (says the makeup junkie.. haha).
