Now, for those of you who don't know what Fix+ is, it is basically a vitamin and mineral spray that you spritz onto your face to make your makeup look extra flawless. I don't know about you, but I would sometimes catch my skin looking a little too powdery, and it's until I tried this product that I no longer had the "cakey-ness" issue. Here is the description of the product taken from maccosmetics.com:
An aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals, infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi. Adds radiance, finishes makeup. Spray it on. Skin drinks it up.
Not only does this mist feel wonderful when the mist hits my face (this will feel especially refreshing on a hot summer day), but it actually locks all the product onto my face and makes everything blend in together nicely. Any colour on my face is instantly intensified (in a good way of course), whether it be my blush, bronzer, highlighter, eye shadow, eyeliner, etc! I fan my face for about 10-15 seconds to let the spray dry, and I am left with flawless makeup!
The nozzle's design makes the product come out in an extremely fine mist - did I say it feels so nice? It also has a locking mechanism, making it very practical for travelling. When spraying, I hold the bottle 20-25 cm away from my face and spray 3 times: once directly from the front, and twice from the sides of my face. I prefer using it when I am done doing all of my makeup, but you can also spray some on after your foundation and powder application or even as a primer before moving on to the rest of your makeup.
This being my first makeup setting spray, I am very impressed, the difference in my makeup is astonishing - it brings everything out and makes my skin look super healthy!
Have you tried MAC Fix+ or any other facial mists? Let me know in the comments below!

I love sprays and this one has more ingredients, it's not just water so it feels justified to me. I need to try it! xx
ReplyDeleteI use the Boots minerals setting spray and it is very nice - and its only $10. I've tried the UD all nighter sprays and wasn't impressed.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I'll definitely give it a try as I have a major cakey face problem. I need to wear make up like 24/7 because of my job and I look like a clown most times :(
ReplyDeleteFollowing you from the Social Mix hop
Happy weekend!
I love this product so much! I have really dry skin and I completely agree with you, it makes everything look flawless! Great post!

Ah, thanks for the review on this! I had been eyeing it for a while so this has just confirmed my curiosity!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try it out when I can invest in a bit extra savings later this year. I tend to have a bit of cakiness from the foundation.

Definitely need to invest in one of these soon. Thanks for the awesome review :) !
ReplyDeleteI have tried the Mac Fix + and it works beautifully. But am I willing to pay that much for setting spray?? I have DIY'd it by mixing 1 part glycerin and 3 parts distilled water. <3

they say you can use it under your foundation too?..
ReplyDeleteI 'ld like to try this product. Heard so much about it
ReplyDeleteim trying to get the flawless look (try being the operative word) - ive been told - serum (dry skin)...moisturiser...primer...foundation...powder to set - would this be as well as or instead of powder?? has great reviews so im thinking of giving it a whirl x
ReplyDeleteThis would as well as! Using a powder to set makeup is important no matter what skin type, and using a setting (this ones amazing) after it solves any "cake face" issues you may face
DeleteI am not too impressed with this one.
ReplyDeletewow! another best product from MAC! I would love to try this one! Looks promising and good! Nice review!
ReplyDeleteAnti-caking does sound pretty nice... 25 dollars is a bit pricey for me though :/
ReplyDeleteI was on the fence about this product but this review has convinced me to give it a try!
